NOFA Certified Organic CSA

Take part in how your food is grown and become a member today

We’re thrilled to offer Niagara County of Western New York our 2021 Organic CSA! Members recieve 20 weeks of fresh seasonal  NOFA certified organic vegetables  & herbs for only $28.50 per week. Our small batch granola baked with locally sourced ingredients will also be available.

Pick up for our CSA will be held at Local Roots Farm at 5328 West Lake Rd. Burt N.Y. 14028 between 4-6:30pm on wednesday nights.

So what is a CSA?

A CSA program is a type of “cooperative,” where members financially commit to a full season of produce months in advance of the start of the growing season.

Since the nutritional value of produce declines significantly while on supermarket shelves, as a member you will enjoy the freshest, most nutritious produce available – harvested daily for you and your family by our small farm family.

Advantages for consumers:

  • Rotating variety of NOFA certified organic seasonal fresh food; with all the flavor, vitamin benefits all laden with rich microbial life to aid in optimum gut health and flavor
  • Get exposed to new vegetables, herbs,   recipes and learn new ways of cooking
  • Potential for visits and Group activities, community discussion, ect. at Local Roots Farm.
  • Develop a relationship with the farmer and learn more about how food is grown: when you have a relationship with your farmer you might learn a thing or two
  • Develop a relationship with the plants and the food; taking your health into your hands. See how we serve the plants effects how the plants serve us
  • Peace of Mind: knowing that your food is grown clean with morality and integrity.

If you would like to become a member or would like more information about our CSA or to be added to our mailing list please contact us via email

The origins of Community Supported Agriculture

How did CSA start? Where did the idea come from?

We cannot grow without our roots. We value learning about and paying respect to the founders of sustainable and regenerative farming. To learn more about the origins and history of CSA programs and some of the founders of these organic practices we value so deeply; please check out this Mother Earth News article and visit the link below.
